United Democratic Party's Serrekunda candidate, Bun Abas Konjira has asked the Inspector General of police Ensa Badjie to step down.

Bun Abas said this during the party's political rally on October 24, 2009 in Serrekunda. The meeting was held after police had refused to respond to the party's request for a permit.

Campaign manager Femi Peters was later arrested and is currently standing trial for organizing the meeting with the approval of the authorities.

As you will see in the video below, Bun Abas also asked the director of Gambia Radio and Television Services, Momodou Sanyang, to resign.
