Appreciation For Serialising The UDP Rally in Serrekunda

The UDP-UK Chapter is deligthed and appreciate your patriotic endeavour in serialising the successfully acclaimed Serrekunda rally videos.

The UDP-UK Chapter felt that, your efforts are second to none. Regular readers of Senegambia News have benefited immensely from the painstaking and time consuming task of uploading the videos.

Senegambia News has demonstrated that it will use all available resources in disseminating vital information.

In the Videos, the formidable leader of the UDP, Alhagie Ousainou Darboe unquestionably spoke on all issues affecting the Gambian population. His passion and will to rid the Gambia of tyranny was proven beyond doubt.

Ousainou's political experience and the lessons he learnt meant that there is no turning back in tackling relevant issues affecting the Gambia and Gambians. Ousainou's personal practice is regularly monitored by the state intelligence agency; he is put under constant surveillance but that will never deter his ambition to confront the dictatorship.

The humble and down to earth nature of Ousainou confuse some observers, which led to unprecedented accusations of his lack of desire to confront the APRC government headlong.

Ousainou exhibits tremendous care about Gambians. However, whatever will lead to the destruction of mother Gambia will not be initiated by the UDP. The UDP believes that a peaceful resolution to our predicament is the way forward for sustainable and lasting peace in the Gambia. Ousainou has on several occasions declined offers for lucrative international posts due to his love and care for the cause to change the current government. And that ambition will be followed through democratic means only and with adherence to the rule of law and due process.

The media in all it facets are the key partners in the awakening of the Gambian consciousness. A UDP government will promote unfettered media freedom and enhance its operations. Once again, editor Jambang, allow me to finally thank you for a job well done. You have shown to all and sundry that you are an independent minded editor and a good one for that matter.
